Kerala Herbal Hair Oil For Healthy Hair
Kerala women are very famous for their beautiful glossy hair that is very thick, long, and dark hair. That is because of their herbal hair oil, hair masks, and diet. Fish is a popular food in Kerala as it’s rich in Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, it aids in hair growth. One more important thing is they use natural ingredients for their hair regime instead of store-bought. This is the main reason why they are having natural black and thick hair.
This Is an Extraordinary Oil:
Their traditional herbal hair oil does miracles on their beautiful hair. The combination of natural/ herbal ingredients makes it extraordinary and helps to prevent premature greying hair. I learned this special hair oil from my friend who has stayed in Kerala for 20 years. I have got excellent results from this oil. I hope you too get those benefits.

Even if you have a baldness problem then this oil will be the best solution. You can get immediate results, that I can say within a month. If you are suffering from excessive hair loss, grey hair problem, dandruff, hair thinning problem then this oil is suitable for you.
We need some natural ingredients for this recipe. That can be easily available. So not to worry.
How to make the Kerala Herbal Hair Oil?
Curry Leaves:
For making this herbal hair oil, take a handful of fresh curry leaves. If you do not get fresh curry leaves then you can take dried one or curry leaves powder which can be easily available in the market. These leaves are a great source of protein and beta-carotene which are very essential in preventing hair loss. I already shared the Amazing Benefits Of Curry Leaves For Hair Growth, please have a look at it.
Let us move towards the Recipe:
Fenugreek Seeds:
First, you will have to soak 2 tablespoons of Fenugreek Seeds. These seeds are also called Methi seeds in Hindi. They are good for removing dandruff and making your hair silky smooth. Did you know that it helps to cure scalp itchiness and split ends too?
Amla:
Add ½ cup of fresh amla, first separate the seeds from the amla and chop it and add it. You can take dried amla too. This amla is a magical natural ingredient to solve almost all hair problems. Hope no need to say all kinds of hair problems you might be facing too. Right? Well. I recommend fresh amla to use in your hair care regime, but it is very difficult to get fresh amla in all seasons and in all places. In this case, you can use store-bought amla powder too.
Hibiscus Flowers/Leaves:
Add a handful of fresh hibiscus flowers and leaves. Otherwise, you can take hibiscus powder too. If you are taking powder then add 2 tablespoons of it. These flowers and leaves nourish our hair and act as a natural conditioner.
Shallots:
Next, add 10-12 shallots or tiny onions to this. This is the traditional ingredient of hair growth home remedies. They produce collagen because of the richness in Sulphur and prevents baldness problems naturally.
Aloe Vera:
Now I am going to add ½ cup of the pulp of fresh aloe vera. Extract the pulp with the help of a spoon or a knife, but I prefer a spoon because it is very easy to extract from a spoon. If you have dry and dull hair then it gives new life to your damaged hair, it repairs your damaged hair naturally and makes it silky, shiny, and soft. This is also considered a natural conditioner for our hair.

At last, add little water and grind it to a fine and smooth paste.
Take Iron Kadai and pour the ground paste into the Kadai. The reason behind using this iron Kadai is, it provides much-needed iron nutrients to our recipe. If you do not have iron Kadai then you can go for steel vessels, but don’t use any non-stick pans. It doesn’t give any benefit.
Add ½ liter pure coconut oil to the Kadai and stir well. Just make sure that you are using good coconut oil for making this herbal oil.
Boil it in a low flame. It may take around 10 minutes. It starts to sizzle, wait for a few minutes when it stops sizzling, add 1table tablespoon of black peppercorns. You may get one question about peppercorns right? Why did I add it to the oil? Because it helps you to prevent from getting colds. Then switch off the gas flame.
Let it cool down, you can strain it and store it in an airtight glass container for up to 2 months.
How To Apply?
At any moment you want to use this oil, take the required amount of oil in the bowl and place it in hot water. When it will be in lukewarm condition apply it to your scalp and hair and give a gentle massage for 4-5 minutes. Once you have done massaging, leave it for an hour and then rinse off.
